In 8th grade, Cedric Lehky, who has Down syndrome, was invited to be a part of the North Royalton, OH wrestling team. As he ends his high school wrestling career, he leaves behind an undefeated season and a legacy of hard work and inspiration for both his team and his competitors.
“If we sprint, he sprints. If we do push-ups, he does push-ups. If we do sit-ups, he does sit-ups. It’s all the same so in that regard we try to say you are a wrestler, and when he is in here he’s just a wrestler. His name is ‘Ced.'” said Head Wrestling Coach Sean Folk.
Keep up the great work, Ced. Best of luck on your next adventure!
